Our strong partnerships with leading global vendors including AWS and Microsoft allows us to effectively design, deploy, integrate, maintain and support Cloud and on premise infrastructure and associated systems. In addition to our Consulting and Infrastructure capabilities, we also have a highly skilled and experienced Software Development team who are at the forefront of the latest developments.

About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing all projects within the Software Development team. The Project Manager performs project leadership functions, including defining project objectives, overseeing quality control throughout its life cycle, acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects according to plan. Providing timely updates to key stakeholders is an essential part of this role.

Accountabilities

  • Achievement of project objectives and deliverables
  • Management of project budgets (resources, dollars)
  • Achievement of optimum efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery
  • Design and scope documents produced to a high standard
  • Accurate analysis of resource allocation among various projects
  • Reports are produced on a timely basis and of high quality
  • Incidents and issues dealt with professionally and constructively

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • A tertiary degree in the field of computer science or software engineering, and/or equivalent professional qualifications or experience
  • Prior project management experience
  • Good understanding of software development project methodologies and practices (Agile Development, Scrum an advantage)
  • Excellent reporting writing skills
  • High level of interpersonal communication skills including the ability to liaise and interact professionally with individuals and groups at varying levels of authority
  • Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to resolve conflict
  • High level of organisational skills including the ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines
  • Experience estimating project costs

Desirable

  • Competent knowledge of the .NET Framework, MS Visual Studio Team Suite particularly for web applications and mobile apps.
  • Experience in a similar position or managing multiple concurrent software development projects
  • Formal project management qualifications
  • Prior project management experience handling multiple ongoing projects
  • Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA
