Comunet’s migration program is based on the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) and Comunet have completed a number of large and complex migration engagements using MAP. The Migration Program has been assessed by AWS and we hold the Migration Capability status with AWS. Comunet are committed to gaining AWS Migration Competency over the next six months and this will be a significant achievement for a local South Australia company. Over the past five years, Comunet have migrated over 50 clients to AWS and completed a number of large scale AWS migration engagements.

Comunet have been developing Cloud Native software solutions since 2015 when we leveraged AWS Lambda and Simple Queue Service (SQS) to solve a scaling issue for a client related to generating driving routes within a finite timeframe. This solution has formed the backbone of providing locum services to Australian homes every night since and has proven itself to be a reliable and exceedingly cost effective. Comunet have continued to provide our clients with solutions ranging from new serverless applications to hybrid solutions for legacy applications. We currently have applications for over a dozen clients, using a single AWS service, or a whole AWS solution.

Comunet help organisations with operational enablement of their cloud environments with onsite knowledge transfer and training, detailed operational documentation and runbooks and development of automation through DevOps and CI/CD practices. Comunet’s AWS Security and Governance engagements are based on the AWS Well Architected Framework, and help organisation’s reduce risks from cyber security threats and help improve the business value of their cloud environment. Comunet also offer a comprehensive managed service arrangement for organisations looking to outsource the management and support of all or part their AWS environment.

While many of our Cloud Native solutions utilise a variety of AWS’ database services, Comunet has expanded into providing specialised data lake architectures for our clients. In 2019, Comunet provisioned the University of South Australia with an Accelerated Data Lake solution to collocate, cleanse, and curate incoming data in a serverless and near real-time manner.
